Crawley Boat Shed;

Stands on the Swan River, near Matilda Bay, this old boat shed was said to have been built in the early 1930's.
 It was purchased in 1944 by the Nattrass Family for 5 pounds, it stayed within the family until 1972 when Paul Natress gave it to the Sea Scouts Patron who in the 1990's passed it on to a keen sailor from the Royal Yacht Club.
In 2001 the Boat Shed was put up for sale and was purchased by Perths Lord Mayor Peter Natrass the Son of the original owner Roland Natrass, by this time it had been extensively renovated by his two sons.
On the 6th February 2004 the newly refurbished "Crawley Boat Shed" was relaunched by triple circumnavigator of the world Jon Sanders and single solo circumnavigator David Hicks.
It still stands today a permanent landmark, we saw a newly married couple here today having their wedding photographs taken.
further along the river is where we put my Mum to rest a few months ago along the shore of the river, one of her favourite spots here in Perth, it was very comforting to be near Mum today, i like to think she was happy amongst the swans on the river (extras)
The first day of Spring!
