Great tit

We were down at the nature reserve early this morning, but then so were many others;  often if you're there early on Saturday the place is very quiet - it must have been the beautiful September morning.  I didn't see insects or butterflies today but there were lots of birds but nothing rare or unusual but still it was lovely to see the Tit family, Robins, Bullfinches and Chaffinch all so much in evidence. I don't know what caused the gold cast in my photo but I liked it anyway so I've just left well alone.

We're out this evening celebrating our Wedding Anniversary with friends and then lunch with the family tomorrow - a good weekend I think. Thank you as ever for your comments, stars and Hrts, they're verymuch appreciated.
