Heard so many deep bangs this morning that we wondered whether the Spanish had attacked again, but apparently only fireworks for a festival in Luz, the next town.
So good to walk into town and see people; went again at lunchtime to the Adega (where the men sang), and going again in a bit for the Eucharist, and then to Évora for dinner with the Padre and others. It's been hot (38C), should start cooling down at 7pm.
