The crab apples are bursting with ripeness and falling to the ground where the wasps gorge upon them.   There are usually butterflies too but we have not seen many this year because of the intense heat earlier on.  Extra photo: more crab apples!

Recovering from a bad back which means I am better not sitting down but standing up and moving about.  It is getting better slowly so I have not bothered going to the chryropracteur.  Fortunately K has a friend with her baby boy staying and she and another friend who is expecting her first baby will be looking after baby I tomorrow so there are no grandmother duties this week while K is at work.
