Empty supermarket

I am very grateful to have experienced no adverse effects from yesterday’s events. Others were not so lucky.

Thousands of people are stuck at Kansai International airport with no electricity or running water. They are ferrying them to Kobe by boat but the average wait time is ten hours! Because of the high winds, nothing can be done yet about the tanker that crashed into the bridge, but they are hoping the conditions on the sea are better tomorrow.

Looks like the airport will be out of use for some time yet with thousands of flights cancelled and others re-routed to other cities. It’s chaos!

So I am trying not to get too upset that all I have to contend with are empty supermarket shelves!
