Brexitometer

Our community engagement work so far this week has been with the new students enrolling at Fife College.

A major part of it has been getting their views on Brexit. It is very bad news for the Maybot - not that she cares, of course. They are overwhelmingly negative about it. It is very good news for Scottish independence supporters - they are overwhelmingly positive about it.

It has also been very noticeable how much they appreciate being asked for an opinion, and how many then want to engage in discussion.

Gaelic classes resumed tonight. Level 2 - getting serious. The tutor's wife is in the class - her mother is a native speaker, but she didn't learn as a child. They had a baby in July and brought him along.

Halfway through the class he filled his nappy and made a lot of noise doing it. This did not help our concentration, but we laughed a lot. Mum was not so happy.

Ah, the Blip. The Goth encouraging the youngsters to participate. She was in her element - a very outgoing personality, and many of the students wanted to compare piercings and tattoos with her.
