Mr Chaffinch

Blip mate and I went to our favourite  musical show this morning, called 'Operatunity'. It tours the country and comes around about every 6 weeks with a new show.. It is very entertaining. They provide a sandwich and muffin lunch and once again we took a thermos so we could lunch at Rabbit Island on the way home.

We were entertained by the birds as we ate. I loved this little male chaffinch . He is in breeding plumage - his beak turns from pink to grey in the breeding season.

We were also greatly entertained by a female Paradise Shelduck whom you can see in the extras. There were three of them and one of the females came and sat on the seat back directly behind Blipmate. It made little coo-ing noises and stayed for ages - even after we had left the area. In the second extra, I think Blipmate is pointing her camera the wrong way!
