Revealed

Home at last and in our absence a profusion of flowers has appeared on these Cyclamen hederifolium - named for it's ivy shaped leaves.  Ivy is Hedera in Latin.  They have languished under rampaging ivy for years but earlier in the Summer I dealt with that problem.

The journey back from Peterborough was sunny and uncomplicated but rain arrived by the time I went to collect Jacinta from the station.  Her Retreat went well.  In between I managed to unpack most of our stuff, get some bed linen washed and dried, prune back the overgrowth around our new seat and cut the grass which had shot up while we were away.  The blackberries I picked around the railway on Tuesday have been cooked and there is three pints of juice waiting to be made into Bramble Jelly in the morning.  One of the best kind of holiday souvenirs :-)
