Lochs Katrine, Venachar and Lomond

Had a terrific day visiting places we love.

First of all we went on the 'Sir Walter Scott' at Loch Katrine and sailed up to Stronachlachar and back, a two hour sail.  We had thought it might be quiet on Thursdays, and there was also an issue with roadworks on the Dukes Pass from Aberfoyle, but in the event we had no problems, and the boat was crowded, including an English coach party.  It was lovely and the scenery is quite spectacular.  And it stayed dry and sunny at times, although later in the day we had some heavy rain.  (see extra shot)

From there we had booked lunch at the Loch Venachar Café, and a lovely lunch it was too.  (see extra shot).

Then we travelled over to Balmaha on Loch Lomond, and had a walk there before coming home. The main picture is at Balmaha.

A lovely day out, we slept well last night!
