a big surprise... Last Monday or Tuesday the 5th Wisent calf of this year was born at the Maashorst... A few weeks ago one of the herd keepers told me that she didn't get a calf this year... probably next year... so what a surprise to see a calf with her today... He and another herd keeper discovered this calf last Thursday...and the rest of the herd was chilling in their new sandbox? (see the extras)
I had a nice chat with a new forest ranger from another part of the Maashorst... a very lucky and nice guy he is. 

P.s. raincoat is ordered...delivery on Monday...
