On Patrol

Feeling chirpy with Michael Bublé singing 'It's a Beautiful Day' and the sun shining as I drove into the lay-by, I thought I could hopefully nail a hobby flying over the lake. This however was not to be as clouds were in the offing and with no sun there were no dragonflies and with no dragons the hobbies would not fly. End of. 

There was this migrant hawker patrolling in front of the hide window which I caught early on thankfully and a hobby did skim across the water a couple of times but at too great a distance. 

Massive thank yous to everyone yesterday flying in for my 6th blip year. It was really touching and very much appreciated especially as I don't get round to commenting and seeing your journals as much as I would like.
