Early night

Today we had a little bus trip to Nessebar. Its got to be done when you visit Bulgaria and as we didn't do it last year we did it today. It was beautiful. Cost 60p each on the bus, crammed in like cattle and the little bus conductor did her best with "tickets please" collecting what she could. She did really well, small and petit she weaved her way through everbody to sell tickets, not sure how an overweight conductor would fair, perhaps they recruit accordingly! Once there we disembarked the bus and made our way to the old town.

The warning of please keep off the walls and no climbing came a little late for Mr C who had already been up a wall. Can take him no where.

We ventured on and the shops were lovely, views stunning and lovely quaint little streets to potter up and down, peaceful too and not the fast pace of sunny beach.

Lunch was taken in a little tervena over looking the sea. I opted for cheesey chips or fries as known over here and probably every where else except England! Mr C had steak, the other gentleman opted for a fish dish and his good lady opted for the fish in the photo. Freshly caught, it was presented to us prior to ordering and described as being caught 10 minutes ago! I could not contemplate eating something caught so soon. From sea to plate! No not for me.

With lunch over, we headed back for the bus only there was a taxi boat back to sunny beach. A sucker for a boat trip we all piled on, only 4 seats left, right at the front. We could have re-enacted the scene from Titanic but as there was no barrier to prevent us falling in the sea we were happy just to sing the song, "you're here, there's nothing I fear" only there was because the gentleman couldn't swim! Oh well lets hope for the best.

We didn't need to swim. We had a quiet stroll back to the hotel and beer on the way of course, mr c his coffee.

After an exhausting day sightseeing we had an early night.
