Island Queen

Day off :-)
Checked the BBC weather forecast to see what we had in store weather wise.
It didn't look too bad which prompted me to ask if we could  try the Tayinloan to Points Sands walk and have lunch where Fergus and Beachcomber got to last Thursday.
There was some rain on the way and the sky didn't look anything like that predicted by the weather forecast but undeterred we set off on our walk just as the noon ferry was setting off for Gigha.
We walked along the beach to see the wreck of the Island Queen, then carried on walking right along the beach and round the bay at Point Sands holiday (caravan) park. The rain clouds had blown over and there were some patches of blue sky coming in over Gigha. There was a fairly strong breeze and the sea was fairly active.
We had our lunch in the same spot Fergus and Beachcomber used last week.
Heavier clouds started to appear behind Gigha, so we set off back along the beach. We did get caught in some rain but the breeze was drying us almost as soon as a shower was past.
In the afternoon I was putting some finishing touches to my painting of poppies for the Paint a Poppy Challenge
