Above And Beyond...

Southsea Castle

We left home early this afternoon to have a leisurely drive to Portsmouth to get the night crossing ferry to Le Havre, France.

Having a couple of hours to kill this evening we had a stroll along the harbour wall at Southsea with it's imposing castle,  historically also known as Chaderton Castle, South Castle and Portsea Castle, is an artillery fort originally constructed by Henry VIII on Portsea Island, Hampshire, in 1544.

The photo is three photo's joined together.
