Washington to Norfolk

Washington seemed lovely, but it was so hot, breathing was difficult. I’ll have to come back when it is a bit cooler and properly explore it.

We stopped by the Vietnam war memorial and the Lincoln memorial before leaving the city. It’s somber, understated, and I could see why they used it as a basis when building the 9/11 memorial in New York.
