Nicky and her Nikon

Flower Friday

I took Luke to another physio session today, he is going twice a week at the moment. She is very pleased with his progress and after reading his operation notes we discussed how different the two operations have been. The Swiss surgeon said that Luke's cartilage was in poor condition and of grade 3 damage, whereas his surgeon in the UK said his cartilage is not bad at all and only of grade 1 damage, which is good news as Luke can continue playing all the sports he loves. Why the surgeon's differ so much in technique and findings is beyond me!

It was a bit cooler today and so an indoor flower shot was a good idea. These yellow lilies are so beautiful and many have opened but I like this one which is still half open.

A quiet weekend ahead - Adam gets back from his pre-season ski training in Austria tomorrow night, he has had a good week learning some new challenging skiing racing techniques from their ski instructor. He sent me this link to an article in the Daily Mail - I think the photos are outstanding - see if you can spot Adam in the skiing photo! He says the photographer took individual photos of each person with the right lighting and then created the final image from a composite.

If anyone is looking for a book to read, I am thoroughly enjoying Educated by Tara Westover - there have been many articles in the press about it and it is an incredible story, highly recommended.
