Tim’s Field

This area is managed to provide a food crop for our overwintering birds during the “ hungry gap” period October to March.

For 2018/19 it was first sown early June but unfortunately this sowing suffered from following drought conditions and has had to be re- down with late quick growing cover crop containing-

Fodder Radish
Kale Rape
Mustard
Turnip Rape
Brown Mustard

AND ONE LONELY SUNFLOWER!

Photo taken on our walk round Rodley Nature Reserve, Leeds.very quiet and peaceful today. Not many birds and not many people.

The afternoon turned out warm and sunny.
Even sat out in the garden with a glass of wine later.

Hope you have all enjoyed the weekend too.
