Windfalls

Spotted this box of windfalls whilst walking in the countryside just outside the village.  Lovely reminder that Autumn is on its way. 

We had loads of pears this year from our espaliered pear, which we kept well-watered throughout the heatwave.  Although lots of them are infested there are plenty enough for us two to make into pear crumbles etc.
