Eye of the Tiger

It's the eye of the tiger, its the thrill of the fight

Risin' up to the challenge of our rival

And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night

And he's watchin' us all with the eye of the tiger - Survivor, 1982

Okay, a bit of a stretch since it's only the eye of a ginger tabby...Charlie to be exact.  But he certainly does have beautiful eyes and when he spots a rival cat through the window, he feels like a tiger in his head.

I decided to take the approach of getting up close for this week's Tiny Tuesday challenge, so this image is full frame with about a 10% crop.  You can see the window reflected in his eye, as well as a bit of the photographer.

An explosion of butterflies in the nursery today, 11 at my last count.  I was able to release 3 this morning before the rain returned; the rest will probably wait until tomorrow.  They are safe and dry in their enclosures in the garage for now.  And you'll be happy to know that the lovely female who narrowly escaped death in a spider web yesterday was feeling quite perky this morning when she took to the skies.  And, would you believe it, I found another little cat on a milkweed plant that I would swear I've checked at least 30 times.  So, I scooped him up and he's safely in an enclosure.  He looks to be an early 3rd instar, so I shall hope that none of the parasites have found him and that he'll be a healthy butterfly soon.

Looking forward to perusing all the TT entries tonight!  Results on Thursday...
