Apple Day

Holyrood Apple Day - which has been going for some years - brings together enthusiasts led by the irrepressible John Hancox with Parliamentarians and visitors to celebrate the harvest and the rich variety of apples grown in Scotalnd, including this year some in the Parliament’s own grounds.

I always enjoy dropping in, though I never have enough time to see and sample everything on offer . But I did get a sip of a lovely fresh cider made from some local apples and I got a bite of a Scottish made quince cheese.
