A pheasant day out

Feeling a little tired, physically and mentally, after a busy first week back in the office. Nice to get out today in some sun. Brambles picked (and later made into a Scottish version of Pacharan that I'm trying); and my boss's boss dropped off a load of apples and pears on the doorstep as well, all to be made into cider.

Speaking of which, I tried one of my own bottles of my first ever cider in the evening. And it's just fantastic! A light sparkle (that'll get stronger), not overly sweet, nicely balanced.... Fingers crossed I can make this next batch work out just as well.
