Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

Autumn is here

The oak tree, having dumped enough acorns onto the lawn to fill the brown bin over the last few windy days, is now starting to drop its leaves into the pond.  The pond needs a good clear out as it's quite full of vegetation, and we'll need to keep dredging out these leaves as otherwise they rot down and provide a nutritious environment that encourages algae.

It's been a lovely sunny day.  W has finished the guttering on the side of the shed, and fixed up a water butt for it to drain into.  And he's started to dig up the new flower bed at the side of the shed.  Just in time, as TonyG visited today, for an exchange of gifts.  He's taken away a shrub in a pot, and the needlework I finished a few days ago, and left us with a lovely selection of plants to rehome.
