Brisen-Klömbjes?

As a rule, whenever you pick up a prescription from the chemist, you inevitably get a little extra free.  Today I was given these "original Sylt recipe sugar free cough sweets".

Sylt is a German island in the North Sea and before I moved here, I'd never heard of it.  It's very popular for holidays - although I would prefer to go south, too many memories of swimming in the North Sea....

I'm a bit sceptical about the "traditional sugar-free recipe" as well.  Unless it's a traditional recipe from 1990.

I remember when Werther's Originals started advertising in Britain in the 90s - these really traditional sweets that your Grandfather always shared with you.  Nice reassuring British accent in the adverts.  Werther's Originals, such a British tradition.

Except they are made in Germany.  And always have been.  Since 1903.

These unrelated bits of trivia should tell you that I've had a quiet day.  No real stress.  No euphoria either.  I'll quite happily take a thousand days like today  though.
