Toad at Holton Lee

We had a pleasant ramble with the Bird Group at Holton Lee . This little toad conveniently hopped on to Paul’s wrist before hopping off again .
This evening we went to a lecture by Dr Suzie Imber, a professor at Leicester Uni who is also a mountaineer and elite rower . A fascinating woman, she was the winner of the BBC series ‘ Astronaut: What does it take ? ‘
I was interested that she has used algorithms from space photos to find undiscovered mountains in Peru then climbed them only to discover there were Inca tiers of stones on the tops . She is now plotting the course the Incas May have taken through the mountains .
