A bit of elbow grease

Yesterday when we went to the furniture shopping mall, it was to buy some special furniture wax for this beautiful table, for my friend Elizabeth. It's an old Indian teak door that has been made into a dining table. The table needed a bit of TLC, so I offered to help Elizabeth and her daughter wax the table and polish some silver in preparation for their Thanksgiving meal tomorrow.

It came up really well and the brass rivets look almost new! And the teak looked well 'moisturised'. Elizabeth was really pleased and has already decorated it for the meal tomorrow. I was so glad to have some girl time with them both and do something really productive in the process! All in a good day's work! Maybe this weekend we'll tackle our own furniture?!?!
