Cutting it rather fine!

Not a great day today - drizzling on and off, and going out is not very inviting. I had to pop out in the car briefly this morning, but it doesn't look like an outside Blip day really. So what to Blip indoors? Bean slicers!

We've had a runner bean slicer for years, but the blades are coming apart and it doesn't slice well, so as we have a surfeit of beans to slice I looked online and found the ideal replacement. 

It was advertised as a 'runner bean cutter' and is made in China. It's offered for sale by a dealer in China, and posted from Suvamabhum Airport Post Office, Banakok, (yes, Banakok),10543 Thailand. Cost? 99p. Postage? Free. These are the instructions on the back, exactly as printed.

NOTICE
 
·         Don’  t put fragile things when it leaves high to ground.
·         Be stable when placing something on it.
·         Don’  t put high-temperatured things on or be near to stove.
·         Don’  t damage the sink.
 
BEFORE USING
 
·         Clean with detergent.
·         Mop off water and keep it dry.
·         Don’  t clean with hardware brush in case of damage.
·         Don’  t put together with iron product in case of rust.
 
AFTER USING
 
·         Wash with detergent.

·         Ramove the label.                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

There's a good job for somebody - writing instructions in English for foreign companies!

I have a horrible suspicion that it will break in half the first time I use it!
