Marble Quarries in Sicily

We drove to the Palermo Airport early this morning, to catch our flight back to London. These were among numerous quarries we passed early in the ride. We were told the marble ranks second only to the that of Carrara, in northern Tuscany.  In London we had dinner with our friends Susan and David, who live in London and have visited us a number of times in Paris. Now to bed--tired from the trip.
