Walkabout

There being a bit of a cloudy start to the day, we strolled into town and then went our separate ways. So here’s the real Cala D’Or which is hidden well away from the thronging masses. Later I found a rather good coffee and pastry place where I inscribed my postcards before heading back. By then the sun was out and the beach bar at Cala Ferrera was just begging to be visited.
Other random thoughts - see the problems that labour govt had to grapple with immediately after the war finished? It would do your head in. One thing though - they didn’t have any IT systems to mess them about. Decisions could just be made and implemented. Amazing!
Another thing - what’s this macho way of holding torches that’s done in movies now - like holding them as if they were overhead branches? Ridiculous.
