Hattie

I had a fun time this morning making some portraits of friends Tony and Hattie in Ashridge Forest. The light was bright but a very golden, warm colour and the challenge was to get enough light on faces without them squinting into the sun.  We used fallen tree trunks for poses which worked very well; all this was followed by the obligatory coffee and cakes in the tea shop.

Once home I set to with the printer and, in the end after a bit of faffing deciding which images to actually print. it was done accurately and well on my still relatively new Canon printer. There's something magical about holding in one's hand an image taken, processed and printed out.  All ready for the competition next Tuesday.
