Threatening ...

to rain? Thunder?  The Apocalypse?? 

There was a very strange light this afternoon when I was driving over to Hawick.  I haven't fiddled with this, the sky really was this dark, and the fields as bright.

I was going to do a big food shop - Aldi and Sainbury's. Oh how I hate supermarkets, I hardly ever go into one. But needs must, I have to do some proper cooking at the weekend and where else am I going to get vanilla bean paste round here.

Not a drop of rain fell in Hawick while I was there, but it had been wet on Lanton Hill.  Now it's just dull and grey.
