So, goodbye old Clem. An unremarkable man who lived through remarkable times. I love that way that a good biography illuminates the era as well as any history book. In fact, it’s better as it really puts the people centre stage.

And evening found us in the only French restaurant in the area, "A Table" overlooking the marina. Though I had to drive there - the SK banged her petit ortiel on the edge of the pool. Err, quel dommage. Especially for the bloody chauffeur.
