The repair!

Following on from yesterday’s breakdown the cause was weak/defective plastic clips securing the flow/return diesel pipes from the pump allowing on to come free and thus fuel failure. The RAC chap was excellent and we couldn’t have asked for more from him. The cable ties got us home and a search of the Saab forums suggests this is a common failure. Hopefully a £6 bracket from eBay as an upgrade from an aftermarket Saab supplier will provide a permanent solution as the faulty clips are part of the pump and can’t be bought. Worth a punt and if it works great....if not then it’s not a fortune wasted. Fingers crossed.
