An ordinary life....

Flexibility...

...is the key to a good plan.

After a lovely lie in, Ele and I had a lazy lunch and spent the afternoon watching the Ryder Cup ad cheering on the Blues.  Great stuff!

We had a plan was to meet up with Gail and Natalie at Natalie's (they are also golf widow's this weekend) for drinks and nibbles then go out for dinner so between the exciting bits of the Ryder Cup, Ele and I spent time being very girly and discussing what we might wear this evening.

Just as we were about to go and transform ourselves into glamour pusses (hahahahaha) Gail phoned to say there had been a bit of a family crisis that she had to deal with (with Natalie's help) so unfortunately we had to cancel our plans.  On the plus side, it meant we didn't have to change out of our comfy jeans and could slob out just chatting and watching tv again.

We were just considering what to have for dinner when Gail called to say that crisis had been dealt with, she and Natalie were driving home from St Andrews and if we hadn't had dinner, they could come in and we could just get a takeaway and have some time together as planned.

Fast forward an hour and there we all were, sitting on my sofa, Chinese takeaway on our knees, casually dressed and not a scrape of make up on any of our faces.  Not the night we had planned but we enjoyed it just the same.

I had planned to blip a group shot of us at the restaurant but since that didn't happen, an emergency flower blip it is!  :-))
