Sox it to them boys

No opportunity to upload a blip yesterday. The wedding festivities didn't end til midnight then we had to drive to the hotel and anyway I had no means of uploading an image from the camera.

It was a grand wedding in glorious weather. The Church Service at St Giles Ashsted was a wonderful mix of tradition and modern. The hymns were led by a small group of musicians and the minister was jolly but also mindful of the sanctity of the moment.

The service was amusing causing ripples of laughter and applause around the church as well as providing moments for contemplation and reflection. The bride, of course, looked beautiful so I had to include of her in the extras. I couldn't just leave it with the colourful sock brigade. A bit different from showing off your garter.

The reception was held at Denbies Wine Estate which was full of vineyards hanging heavy with grapes. The white wine and sparkling wine was from those vineyards and was very good. As was the wedding breakfast.

There was the obligatory disco in the evening, however, most of the songs were well-known favourites so I insisted on showing off the best that dad dancing could offer.

There was a risk of turning into pumpkins as the midnight hour approached so we beat a retreat to the hotel in Leatherhead. We're going for a walk in the morning around Epsom and Ashsted Commons to ease the aching muscles.
