Champions!

It was Relay Day at the Junior Inter-Regional Championships today at Carsington Pastures.  Sadly we left the sunshine and blue skies behind at Chatsworth yesterday, but the low cloud and intermittent drizzle didn't dampen the spirits of the youngsters who threw themselves in to the competition.

Basically, Relay Day is teams of three: a 14, a 16 and an 18 year old in each team.  There was much excitement throughout the morning as the open moor and good planning provided lots of spectator opportunities.  Fortunes came and went and there were individual successes, but overall the points and the competition went to the Scottish Squad, blipped here.  Well done to them and thank you to all of the youngsters who have run hard and been good natured and fun throughout the weekend.
