a lifetime burning

La petite grenouille vert de l'arbre

Sunday has been a lovely relaxing day.  My cousin John needed to go to Lezignan for a new gas cylinder so we took the opportunity to do a little bit of food shopping, which always demonstrates how rusty my schoolboy French has become.  Not so impressive for someone who had a French grandmother ...

After a pleasant walk this afternoon we settled down to an evening of cooking and chatting on John's patio, whilst listening to music.  Which is where this chap comes in.  He's a green tree frog, and was stunned sufficiently by all the attention to stay still long enough for me to take this shot of him on top of John's music speaker.

In my extras: Jackdaws circling the steeple of the church at Homps; Janet, Cathy, Incredibish, and John; and finally, a currently unspecified tiny blue butterfly.
