Florence

An early start this morning as I was accompanying our daughter, Nicola and granddaughter Victoria to London for another of Victoria’s check-ups. We went on an earlier train than we had planned, which was fortunate as the next one was cancelled. We were very early for her x-ray and appointment, but went into the London Clinic Café for breakfast. The appointment went well and her surgeon is very pleased with her progress. She will have what we hope is her final operation in January when they will take the plate out of her left thigh and the pins out of right hip.

We were finished earlier than normal and rather than wait around for over an hour for the restaurant to open for lunch we decided to catch an earlier train and have lunch when we got home. We ordered pizza to be delivered so that my husband could join us.

The kitchen fitter was here all morning and instead of “ripping out” the old kitchen, which is not there he did the electrics. He will be fitting the new kitchen next week.

Today’s picture is of Florence, enjoying the sunshine lying on the warm back steps and washing her face.
