Crocus nudiflorus, peeping around Daphne x reichsteinii in a raised bed.  The crocus has been in situ for around fifteen years, the daphne, gradually expanding, for a decade or so.  Today’s ration of sunshine opened the flower thus far but no further.

Some days are better than others.  Through no fault of its’ own, this one does not score so high.  Defrosting a freezer and some vigorous ivy root removal were my contribution to it.
