Olonzac

Olonzac market this morning. Cafe de la Poste doing a roaring trade in coffee, beer and tiny glasses of wine. It is permitted to buy your own croissants or other confection and eat it with said coffee.

Leaving Olonzac we headed off to Le Somail beside the Canal du Midi (extra). After a substantial lunch, which included for me an enormous ice-cream and sorbet dessert called Coquelicot (bright red), we walked along the canal looking at the old trees which are surviving, the ones marked for the chop and the many newly planted oaks.

Back home and two of us swam. The water was quite cold and we felt virtuous. Much resting and silent reading now before more food.
