Workmen

All this week l have had a decorator here painting the attic and he told me he has finished it today and will come tomorrow to clear up once it has dried.  Then it will be up to me to reduce the amount of stuff l put back up there! I ended up making biscuits today because there have been Club biscuits in the cupboard as a treat for the painter.. as l cannot eat them l thought l would bake some gluten free biscuits.  I really like these ones they are pecan and ginger biscuits and are absolutely delicious. (made with gram flour and almonds)
This summer has been amazing for the Sweet Chestnut Tree in the field.. usually it drops its extremely spiky nuts onto the footpath and Flossie skips across the area trying to avoid the prickles.. the squirrels enjoy the rather miserable small nuts inside.. However... l found some huge nuts this afternoon.. genuinely as large as those you buy from the shops!!  I am looking forward to the chance of cooking them up at the weekend and l might go and collect more tomorrow.. do hope they are tasty!
