Rosa Rugosa

Realised we were out of milk this morning, so I got on my bike and went to the village between the showers. Just less than one hour door to door!  The power assist was useful for the hills, but really came into its own when I was trying to cycle into the wind. What a difference!  Oh, it is a wonderful invention!

Ollie and I went for a little walk after visiting B this afternoon.  Lots of signs of autumn, turning leaves and skeins of geese overhead. This rosa rugosa grows everywhere round here, and just now it looks lovely - yellowing leaves and lots of hips.

It was a chilly day, but nice and bright and very breezy. Ceilidh dancing in the village hall in the evening.  A good turnout and a sociable and jolly evening!
