Life in Sunny Dubai

Ibn Battuta

Well, today was the first on what could be a new regime for Saturdays. I really hope it doesn't go on for months as it will make the day extremely long!

Church was fine and finished before 12. We went to Ibn Battuta - the shopping mall closes to it for some lunch. My blip is from there. It has five very distinctive areas decorated in the style of lands travelled by the Arab explorer Ibn Battuta. We were in the Andalucian section, and I reckon we haven't been in this Mall since the last time I blipped it!

We met up with Gary and Cecilia and had a snack with them. Jamaica Blue was the cafe chosen, but I don't think any of us are looking forward to going back any time soon!

Back to church, and the first session of Awana started off slightly chaotic. No surprise; they are not in their usual location and there was lots to sort out. It was a relief when 4:30 came and we could all go home. It will be a challenge for loads of families to be on the premises from 9:30 to 4:30.

Glad to be home and relax for a bit before diving into another new work week. The Volvo hasn't been able to come home today either! :(
