Autumn continues

Red two days ago, yellow today.

As this is also a journal of events I must record a sad one. Late last night our fifteen year old tall upright freezer showed a red light indicating that it had died. Unfortunately too late in the evening to distribute its contents among friends and neighbours.
It seem that the electronics which control its operation had failed and replacements are no longer available.

However we must look on the bright side. Research this morning identified a model which looks very good. Knottman and Mrs.K. were at Curry’s in Kendal by 10.15 a.m. New freezer bought and they will deliver it tomorrow and take our old friend away.

At least it didn’t happen on Christmas Eve.
