Crocus longiflorus

One I like very much.  Nice colour combination and it's strongly scented too.

An odd-job sort of day.  Lots of ticks on the list.  Another talk tonight, 'From Mountain to Garden', given to a village 'Society,' .... not a gardening club.  I started out asking how many were gardeners, how many liked mountains and how many were interested in wildlife.  This seemed to cover everyone.  Having already been introduced by a budding comedian it turned out a very enjoyable evening all round :-)
