Bud Burst.....Wine on the Way

The Vineyards of Marlborough are showing evidence of “Bud Burst” on their vines. The newly hatched leaf buds are delicate shades of green, they are furry looking and vulnerable. I photographed this bud as Maisie and I walked through a Vineyard on our way to the Meadowbank Station Bridge, our turning point on our longer walk. I managed to spend a few hours gardening today. Very satisfying. We’ve had a sunny day but a winter-type storm is forecast to reach us by tomorrow morning.
