Black Bryony

(Dioscorea communis)

Like threaded rubies
berries of black bryony
lace the autumn hedge

It's another glorious day - warm with a light wind and a clear blue sky. It is noticeably autumnal though. The first photo in my Extras shows the road half in shade, half in sun; half wet, half dry. The sun was at its peak when I took the photo, so that dark side of the road will surely stay soaked.

We walked down the lanes to Blackpool Sands, and then took the bus back up the hill. My second Extra is the view of Start Bay and the beach taken from the bus. Not as busy as in the summer - but just look at those beautiful blues!

Apologies to those blippers who're not enjoying such summery weather. By tonight we shall be joining you in rainstorms, so the forecasts say.
