A Fine October Day

It's been a lovely day, packed full of sunshine, a warm gentle breeze too.

Another day working on the museum desk.  Not an overly busy day, but I got loads done with the photo archive.  Met up with friend Julie and Keba this evening, and headed out walkies to Punds Voe.  Feet up for a bit, before I head to work in the pub later.

A fine brisk walk at lunchtime, and fine not to need a jacket on either.  This last few weeks has certainly been like winter, but today gave me that summer feel.  Summer has long passed, and the landscape is dying down again, greens turning yellow, crops grown and harvested and most rigs bare.  Mam's veggie yard is on the right, and been well used this year.  It's been in our family for generations, and hopefully will be for generations to come.  Looking over my childhood playground, Aith, Cunningsburgh.
