Black Hole

C and I went  down to Lake Padden this morning to enjoy the beautiful weather we're being blessed with. It's forecast to last a few more days, and I'll be hiking with my son up near Mt.Baker tomorrow.

I don't know what kind of spider was lurking inside this web, but I wasn't prepared to wait long enough to find out. 

Some small (5mm) snails are apparently visiting our lake from New Zealand -- uninvited, and not welcomed (extra). That's a long way for a little snail to travel -- I wonder how they did it.
