Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford upon Avon

Sorry I disappeared for 2 days but we were so busy. On Thurs we went to Birmingham to stay with friends Sharon and Charles with whom we went to see a revival of "Maydays" a 1980s political by David Edgar.. Then back home on Fri morning and quickly off to London to see the wonderful Ian McKellan in King Lear.

We had the chance early on Thursday evening to have a walk through Stratford aross the river to look at the larger Theatres. The Other Place where we saw Maydays is just a space to be used in any way the director and cast wish. And they really took advantage of that.... the seating arrangements were changed three times during the 3 hour performance. So we moved seats and saw the scenes from different angles. When we went out to have the interval breaks we were herded back into the new seating arrangements by Russian soldiers or angry British policeman. What an amazing production!

Thanks Sharon and Charles for the invite.
