Future Music

Out to the Cambridge Regional College open day with Alf with a stop off to drop Pops and Milly in town.

I’d read the course prospectus and had a chat with one of my team who is a former student but flipping heck....

The place is vast and the course looks brilliant. It’s the equivalent of ‘A’ levels so there is a lot of work but it sounds right up his street. Lots of playing, interesting and relevant assignments, gigging, learning about the business. The teachers and students we met all seemed really into it and the facilities are brilliant.

There are music courses at the other 6th forms but they are based around a normal music A level which is a lot more theory and a lot less performing so I suspect he’ll apply to CRC.

After that excitement we retired to Millers to play some guitars that neither of us need and then met the girls in Butch Annies for lunch. Yes I’m an old git and asked them to turn the music down but the speaker was right over our table and the waiter could hardly hear us never mind trying to have a conversation ;)
